    Desert Choice Schools is looking for a full-time SPED Teacher for our location in Tulsa, OK.

    You’ll be a part of a school-based special education team. This team works with Tulsa Public School District to deliver the highest-quality special education services to students with special needs. You’ll provide assistance to the teacher in the implementation of all program components such as the Clinical Program, Instruction, Special Education Services and Physical Fitness. You will be supported by a mentor, veteran behavior technicians and an on-site administrator manager.

    Five areas of accountability we ask you to dedicate to students:

    1. Case manage and implement your students Individual Education Programs
    2. Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
    3. Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
    4. Assist in assessing dynamic curricular needs and offering plans for improvement to provide a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process.
    5. Implement our Positive Behavior Support Program which will provide the support necessary for students to make dynamic life-changes.


    • Bachelor’s Degree and teaching experience preferred
    • Ability to pass fingerprint screening
    • Any of the following:
      • Valid State of Oklahoma Special Education Certification (Cross Categorical or Mild/Moderate)
      • Valid State of Oklahoma Teaching Intern Certificate
