Desert Choice Schools is looking for Substitute Teachers for our location in Casa Grande, AZ for this school year. The hourly rate is $22 and it is a part-time position.

Substitute Teachers will be a part of a team that works with students with emotional and behavioral needs providing therapeutic interventions, de-escalation, pre-crisis and post crisis interventions as well as instruction in the event our regularly scheduled educator is unable to attend work. This position is supported by one to three behavior technicians who assist the classroom teacher with classroom management, behavior documentation and reporting, implementing social/emotional/behavioral interventions as well as participating in teaching and instruction. Teachers are responsible for curriculum and instruction, classroom management, as well as other documentation and maintaining student records if needed.

· Must be willing and able to implement safety measures consistent with Professional Crisis Management Association (PCMA) such as: therapeutic holds and transportation procedures utilizing quick body movements in the course of maintaining the safety of students with special needs
